The Dr. Mumbai Project started out as a demo recording by Bill Pitts. The music was written and recorded by Bill at his home studio located somewhere in the great Pacific Northwest. Soon things got quickly out of control and Bill was left with no choice but to expand his project and release his first CD under the Dr. Mumbai moniker titled "The Adventures of Dr. Mumbai". The CD features many guest players such as Dweezil Zappa, Ty Tabor, John Novello, Marco Minnemann, Arthur Barrow, Kira Small, Randy George, Bryan Beller, Pete Griffin, Scheila Gonzalez, Billy Steinway, Aaron Arntz, Dave Meros, and Alan Morse among others. Whew... that's a lot.
Bill Pitts assembled a stellar group of contributors to create a delicious, Zappa-flavored record. Those who enjoy adventurous, thought-provoking music will find many wonders to enjoy in The Adventures of Dr. Mumbai.

We have put the final touches on the new record. The first song to be released from Hangar 63 will be out December 22nd and the best part is that it will be for FREE! What I can tell you so far is that this record is much more vocal oriented than the previous adventures record this time with Ike Willis out front on vocals. Other great players will include Marco Minnemann, Billy Sheehan, Mike Thorne, Michael Manring, Randy George, Paul Hyde, Don Stone, Tim Pitts, Paul Hansen and more so stay tuned. Keep an eye on this page for updates as we progress.
